The aim
Checkmate the opposing king: put it under attack with no legal way to escape.
Chess on Geddo
The pleasure of concentration, a little friendly rivalry, and someone waiting for your next move. A classic game, reimagined as a clear and welcoming social experience.

A friendly introduction
A short introduction for your next real-board game, not a complete rulebook.
Checkmate the opposing king: put it under attack with no legal way to escape.
Each player starts with 16 pieces on a 64-square board. White moves first, then you alternate turns.
Each piece moves differently. Learn their moves, keep your king safe, and think about your opponent’s reply.
The game you know
Whether you’re returning after a break or have never left the board, Geddo should let you focus on the game. Familiar pieces, clear colors, and readable text are the foundations of the experience we’re designing.
Someone across the board
We’re building private games and invitations for friends and family, and exploring ways to meet new community opponents. Available features and how to use them will be explained at launch.
What comes next
Rematches, match history, and clear timers are part of our product direction. Final features and settings are not confirmed, and the app is not playable today.
The next gathering starts here
Chess, backgammon, and time well spent together. Register your interest in the Geddo launch.
