The aim
Bring all 15 of your checkers into your home board, then bear them off before your opponent.
Backgammon on Geddo
A considered move, a surprising roll, and a game made better by good company. The familiar spirit of backgammon, in a new place we’re building for friends.

A friendly introduction
A short introduction for your next real-board game, not a complete rulebook.
Bring all 15 of your checkers into your home board, then bear them off before your opponent.
Roll the dice and move your checkers according to the numbers and agreed rules. Strategy and chance both play a part.
Local variants and house rules differ. Agree before playing; the app’s rules will be explained at launch.
The spirit of the game
Backgammon has a rhythm of its own: plan, roll, and think again. We’re designing an easy-to-read board with distinct checkers, so your attention stays with the game and the person playing with you.
Friendly rivalry
Private matches, friend invitations, and rematches are central to the planned experience. Community matchmaking and match history are being explored; we’ll confirm the available features at launch.
Before the first roll
Backgammon traditions and house rules vary. We’ll explain which rules the app uses before you play; support for every local variation is not confirmed. The app is in development and not yet playable.
